Twitter Analytics

What is the best tool to measure your success with Twitter?

I came across a very interestting article (read full post HERE) that talks about a new tool (Tweet Level) developed by Edelman which allows you to measure your Twitter performance.

There was a comment made to that post that mentioned another tool called twendz which seems to be a good one too.

Now, I am wondering what could be the best tool I can use to measure my Twitter presence...

I like this post and I am still struggling with it :-)

Of course, it depends on your objective(s).... but I would go one or two steps back, such as:

1 What business are you in if it is B2C or B2B what you might want to accomplish with Twitter differs.

2 I am primarily B2B (except for private bloggers using the free version of:

    http://My.ComMetrics.com

to benchmark their blog) so for me Twitter is primarily for intelligence gathering...

The people I follow provide me with valuable information (links to news, research, etc.)

3 I wanted to tweet quality and see if my followers care. So I established the goal that I wanted 3-10% or more of my followers to click on links I provide. I usually manage 5% sometimes 8% rarely 10%.

I decided not to follow many but primarily those that make a difference to my work on how the tweet. As well, I try to provide value to my followers and set the benchmarks under 3 above.

So far so good. If you are interested in some of these ideas we have some blog posts about Twitter effectiveness here:

    Thanks for posing this question.
